This unit introduces students to the process of designing and creating motion graphics animations. A large percentage of information we see in our everyday lives is conveyed through moving graphics, particularly in television commercials, television programs title sequences, movie special effects and music clips. This unit focuses on the design process of creating motion graphics. It aims to provide a solid understanding of design principles including typography, layouts, storyboarding and aesthetics. By applying these processes to practical projects, students will learn skills in basic motions graphics and digital production techniques.
