Students will investigate and test both tangible and ephemeral or perception based elements of the interior environment, and apply these within a set of conditions. This unit will also examine colour theory and lighting design.

At the completion of this unit students will be able to:

  1. distinguish the different components that contribute to the internal environment
  2. apply knowledge of the internal environment to explain the implications for the ephemeral environment
  3. synthesise environmental knowledge and theory to create a design solution.
