About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. explain the role and impact of managers and managerial activities in information organisations
    2. analyse the stakeholder and regulatory mandates that impact on information services and organisations
    3. plan and assess organisational strategies and operations
    4. evaluate the deployment of protocols and tools that support and promote diversity and equity in information organisations
    5. critically reflect on the application of management concepts and tools in a current professional context.

  • Placement requirements - Includes three weeks practicum placement organised by the Department of Information Studies' Practicum Coordinator in consultation with you at your State. There will be an email requesting students to submit applications for their placements at the end of the Study Period by the Practicum Coordinator. Lookout for this email and respond accordingly.
