This subject builds on the foundations laid in Latin A, and involves a study of Ecclesiastical Latin through reading and translating original texts in their literary context. These will include liturgical and biblical texts as well as extracts from the Church fathers. The emphasis is on reading longer texts of 'real Latin' rather than the 'doctored' Latin presented in the introductory subject.
A range of assessment procedures will be used to meet the subject learning outcomes and develop graduate attributes consistent with University assessment requirements. Such procedures may include, but are not limited to: essays, reports, examinations, student presentations, case studies, online interactive student performance tasks.
