About this subject

  • On completion of this unit, you will be able to:  

    1. Explain how transition points on the trajectory of dementia affect the care needs of people with dementia and those who care for them;  
    2. Demonstrate knowledge of supportive care practices and how these relate to the physical and cognitive effects of dementia;  
    3. Apply knowledge of supportive care models for people with dementia and those who provide care for them;  
    4. Communicate relevant information about supportive care for people living with dementia to a range of audiences.
