About this subject
On successful completion of the subject you should be able to:

Building on academic skills taught in BAR100, BAR200 provides you with new skills that will assist you to progress from consuming knowledge to participating in knowledge production. By doing so, the subject introduces you to core research methods and methodologies subsumed and employed across disciplines in the Bachelor of Arts. The various methodologies discussed are intended to broaden your awareness of approaches available to research in the Social Sciences, Humanities, and Creative Arts. Some of the methods and theoretical perspectives will offer additional tools of inquiry to your own discipline(s). Hence, BAR200 aims to strengthen your scholarly skills and employability by exposing you to research principles, methods, methodologies, and ethics beyond a single discipline.

Single subjects are the individual components that make up a degree. With Open Universities Australia, you’re able to study many of them as stand-alone subjects, including postgraduate single subjects, without having to commit to a degree.

If that degree allows entry via undergraduate subjects, there will be information about this under the Entry Requirements section. You will find a list of 2-4 open enrolment subjects you need to successfully complete to qualify for admission into that qualification.
Once you pass those subjects, you will satisfy the academic requirements for the degree, and you can apply for entry.
