At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- demonstrate an understanding of cultural and its meaning, cultural differences and their impact, as well as cultural issues in a management context
- identify cultural issues and critically analyse them
- gather relevant information and evaluate it from cultural perspectives
- use the acquired models and concepts to design interculturally sensitive approaches
- conduct an independent intercultural analysis
- work with prepared materials and coherently present solutions to cultural problems
- critically evaluate own work and that of other students.

With the increasing globalization of business, you may find yourself responsible for, being managed by, or collaborating with persons of different nationalities and different cultures. Cultural differences, if not understood, can be barriers to the implementation and success in a wide range of international/multicultural business activities such as Joint-Ventures, Negotiations, Group Planning, Human Resource Management, including Selection and Training, and Sales and Marketing.
This subject aims to develop your intercultural awareness, intellectual understanding and behavioural skills, so you can be effective in a global business context, and successfully implement strategy, structure and systems in intercultural management, ultimately creating value and high performance in international settings.
