About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. think critically at the highest order to analyse major challenges of waste management system
    2. critically assess and evaluate key characteristics of waste from different sectors (municipal, construction and demolition
    3. critically analyse various concept, principles, theories and practices of waste management system particularly in the Western Australian context
    4. compare, analyse and explain links between waste management and the built environment in the context of sustainability
    5. compare and synthesise theories and practices to design and report on appropriate waste management system for councils and business organizations.
