About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. demonstrate increased personal numeracy skills in mathematical relationships, expressions, and applications of the content of the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics
    2. develop a personal approach for teaching mathematics that demonstrates knowledge of curriculum and which is based on constructivist teaching and assessment strategies 
    3. appraise strategies and resources for differentiating teaching to cater for a wide range of mathematical learners
    4. critique pedagogies for effective teaching of mathematics
    5. plan for teaching using a range of strategies, technologies and resources.
