- develop understanding of Japanese geography and history
- compare and analyse the differences between urban and rural areas

No special requirements
Japanese language study at an advanced level. Introduction to authentic materials for listening and reading, in particular, newspapers, radio and television programs. Further Kanji is introduced. Survey research skills are developed.
