About this subject

    1. Possess knowledge of the law as it applies to the regulatory framework, relationships and legal responsibilities of lenders and borrowers, types of credit including the Consumer Credit Code and banking code of practice, Privacy Act, Electronic Funds Transfer Code of Conduct, Hire Purchase Act, Negotiable Instruments, Securities (such as liens, pledges, mortgages, guarantees etc) and the enforcement of securities and consequent remedies            
    2. Apply their legal knowledge to complex factual situations in order to achieve a reasoned conclusion through oral and written communication. The application of case law and various legislative instruments involves the use of problem solving and decision making skills, in particular the ability to identify the relevant legal issues from a factual situation; and
    3. Analyse and evaluate case law relevant to the various legislative enactments through oral and written communication.
