Sustainability Dissertation 1
About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- locate, interpret and collect a range of data relevant to a chosen research project
- categorise and critically analyse collected data
- organise and articulate a research problem.
- Students will be introduced to various research methods (qualitative, quantitative and including how to undertake a literature review) that can be applied to a specific research question that relates to a topic covered throughout their Masters study, including but not limited to sustainability, transport, waste, energy, water, housing, construction, development, planning and policy. Students will develop a research question, undertake a literature review, critically analyse the literature found and, if relevant, conduct primary data collection under supervision and in line with Curtin Ethics approval.
This subject was previously known as Advanced Individual Project 1.
A project determined in consultation with supervisor(s) relating to the student’s field of specialisation.
