This unit will provide you with knowledge of traffic systems in urban areas.

At the completion of this unit students will be able to:

  1. apply traffic flow theory and evaluate road capacity
  2. consolidate knowledge on traffic signal theory and design
  3. adapt principles used in traffic impact analysis for solving practical issues
  4. combine knowledge and skills for analysing traffic engineering cases studies
  5. conduct traffic surveys and interpret outcomes.
