To provide a flexible unit of study which allows the student to undertake a special research project. This would require research into a topic that is relevant to the program but alternative to the material included in the prescribed units. 

Upon successfully completing this unit, students will be able to:
  1. Develop a critical understanding of the salient aspects of a chosen area of interest
  2. Demonstrate an awareness and appreciation of a contemporary and/or emerging issue in the area of IT project management, Business Analysis, or IS Management
  3. Draw on multi-disciplinary knowledge, skills, and practice from various sources (including group members’ own professional experiences) to address the topic of interest selected for the research project
  4. Effectively communicate and articulate ideas in a scholarly manner through the project report
  5. Critically analyse, discuss and evaluate an appropriate research method and research design within the context of a small research project
  6. Demonstrate the ability to conduct scholarly research on the literature and practice on a given multi-disciplinary topic and determine a group view of the key essentials.
