This unit builds on the proficiency achieved in Indonesian Language 1 (IND11 Indonesian 1A), widens its scope and enhances students appreciation of the language. More variation in learning activities is introduced, with the aim of developing and consolidating language competence and the students skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking.

At the completion of this unit students will have been:

  1. demonstrate basic speaking (pronunciation and tones), reading and writing skills
  2. develop language competence and proficiency applied to simple conversation.
  3. analyse select readings to recognise simple language and linguistic nuances.
