About this subject

  • Upon completion of this subject, the student should be able to:

    1. provide evidence of your understanding of different epidemiological study designs and their strengths and weaknesses
    2. provide evidence of your ability to identify and address error and bias in research
    3. provide evidence of your ability to apply epidemiological concepts to the evaluation of research literature regarding evidence for and against causal associations
    4. demonstrate the ability to work effectively with others, both to their benefit and the benefit of their team members
    5. demonstrate an understanding of the calculation and interpretation of some basic epidemiological statistics
