About this subject
Upon successful completion of this subject you will be able to:
- demonstrate an advanced and integrated understanding of aspects of Family Law in Australia
- critically evaluate the Family Law system in Australia and identify areas of reform
- analyse and research complex problems relating to Family Law and make reasoned and appropriate choices amongst alternatives

This subject provides an introduction to the theory and practice of family law for the legal practitioner. The aim is to introduce law students to aspects of family law legislation and cases. The unit will assist students to develop an interest in the family law jurisdiction for possible practice as a lawyer and identify and develop discuss law reform options.
