About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. Learn foundational knowledge of social survey methods
    2. Critically understand sociological research
    3. Develop insight into theoretical accounts about survey responses
    4. Develop useful skills in writing good survey questions
    5. Develop useful skills in administering social surveys effectively
    6. Develop useful data analytic skills including univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis
    7. Conduct original research using quantitative research methods.
