About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. identify factors that can combine to make illness particularly challenging
    2. compare and contrast quality and quantity of life and their differing importance at different life stages
    3. critique different quality of life measurement tools and their application to different populations
    4. examine end of life issues including accepting a poor prognosis, challenges of dying and models of bereavement
    5. apply evidence-based strategies to disease management.
