What you'll learn
At the completion of the program the graduate will be able to:
• apply building principles and methods
• prepare documentation for building development and construction
• advise and liaise with other members of the building team, clients and other external stakeholders
• apply relevant legislation and technical standards in building construction
• actively manage the human relations, resources, scheduling, quality control, environmental factors and social impacts involved for a building project.

Career opportunities include roles such as construction manager, construction project manager, site manager, site supervisor, construction estimator in residential, industrial and commercial projects. Additionally, managerial and functional roles such as site management, contract administration, scheduling, estimating, quality control, project management will also be available to graduates of this degree.
The Bachelor of Construction (Honours) is recognised by the professional body for construction, the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Graduates of the Bachelor of Construction (Honours) meet the Queensland Building and Construction Commission’s technical qualification requirements to hold a Builder Open class of licence and a Builder Project Management Services licence subject to demonstrating the required level of industry experience.
