Introduction to Digital marketing

Digital marketers are those responsible for making sure you see the right ads for products and services you’re looking for, at the right time.

Much like an expert puppeteer, they’re the hands at work creating and placing ads on sites like Facebook and Instagram. Across the entire web, really.

Ever thought “how did that site know exactly what I was looking for?” It’s all in the magic of digital marketing.

Digital marketing study FAQs

Is digital marketing a good career?

In terms of job security and growth, yes. According to a 2021 report, marketing jobs in Australia are estimated to grow 11.4% by 2026.

Across the Asia Pacific, the title ‘digital marketing specialist’ is the number 2 most in-demand role.

Which digital marketing qualifications do you need?

While some career paths such as medicine require particular qualifications, digital marketing is an area with no set requirements. Having said that, most digital marketing job ads will ask for at least a bachelor degree in a related field.

Is digital marketing hard to study?

All study requires a certain level of motivation and dedication. You’ve got to really want to get to the finish line—no matter what you study.

In saying that, digital marketing may come easier to those who have a passion for communication, creativity and feel comfortable with numbers. Consider taking a short course to see whether the field is right for you.

Why should I study digital marketing online?
