Description

International Transport Systems provides students with an understanding of international transport and the way it operates. The subject will cover various topics such as transport modes (road, rail, air and water transport) and terminals, global transport system, inter-modal transport, transport and logistics, the relationship between transport and economic development, social and environmental impacts of transport, and transport policy and planning.

This subject lays the foundation for students to progress into the study of other units at the Department of Maritime & Logistics Management, for example Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
