About this subject

  • On successful completion of this subject students should be able to:

    1. work in a fully online enhanced learning environment, to consolidate and synthesise knowledge of the morphology, syntax and further select vocabulary of the Hebrew Bible
    2. read selected passages from the Hebrew Bible, eg. Jonah, and translate them into idiomatic English demonstrating understanding of the variety of translational approaches, including formal and dynamic equivalence
    3. use knowledge of Hebrew to analyse, explore and articulate more complex exegetical arguments in the Hebrew Bible studies.
