If you’re progressing steadily through your career, but see yourself in a higher position of influence, you may find that Curtin University’s Master of Business Administration is exactly what you’re looking for. This postgraduate business degree is designed primarily for middle and senior managers looking to step up their career, with more involvement in strategy, ideation and important decision making within their current and future companies.

For professionals in every industry

Students flock to Curtin’s MBA from a variety of different work and academic backgrounds, because it teaches principles that can be applied across any industry. We chatted to two entrepreneurs – Ken Chan from the oil and gas industry, and Russell Friedman from the manufacturing industry – both of whom completed Curtin’s MBA online, and are putting their knowledge to work in their respective industries.

“As an engineer, marketing doesn’t come naturally” says Ken, “The MBA with Curtin University really made me aware of brand management and marketing”. Ken’s consulting company has reaped the benefits of his new knowledge, and has taught him to more carefully craft and manage his image in the marketplace.

Russell has put his knowledge to use daily at his signage manufacturing company. “One of the things I implement everyday is what I learned in my capstone unit – which was how to structure the organisation, and how to structure [employee] incentives.”
