Technician (Civil Engineering)

Duties and tasks

  • Collect and analyse data that is pertinent to current or upcoming projects

  • Work with officials to follow correct safety and regulation protocol

Research and fieldwork may require being outdoors in all types of weather, but may also mean office work to draw, design, or place bids on jobs. Hours will also vary based on actual job title as inspections or problems may arise at all hours, on holidays or weekends, but those who predominantly analyse or bid may work a 9-5 shift.
