About this subject

  • Upon completion of this subject, the student should be able to:

    1. Describe how data are handled and analysed to support decision making in business, science, and technology disciplines.
    2. Select and apply data analysis and presentation methods to generate evidence that supports decision-making.
    3. Evaluate, interpret and communicate evidence generated from mathematical and statistical approaches.
    4. Critically reflect on own technical practice and discipline knowledge to generate plans for self-development.

  • Other requirements - Weekly online 1 hour tutorial; 3 x half day online workshops per semester. 2 optional Course wide field trips are conducted.
