About this subject

  • On completion of this subject, the student should be able to

    1. Explain and apply general principles of criminal responsibility
    2. Analyse, interpret and apply relevant criminal law legislation and case law
    3. Apply the law to factual problems and produce satisfactory answers
    4. Effectively communicate reasons for answers to practical problems (in oral and written form), utilising relevant sources of criminal law
    5. Accurately use and apply appropriate criminal law terminology
    6. Understand the procedures relating to criminal proceedings
