About this subject

  • On successful completion you will be able to

    1. Acquire and demonstrate knowledge of the evidence relating to the life experiences of women and concepts of gender in the ancient world.
    2. Evaluate ancient source material and modern interpretations of that material at an advanced level.
    3. Formulate arguments, express ideas and respond to the views of staff and peers in both oral and written form at an advanced level.
    4. Appreciate historiographical theories and how historical information (in the broadest sense) may be extracted from ancient texts and archaeological remains.
