The primary emphasis of this subject is the management of human resources in organisations. A central theme throughout this unit is the contribution of Human Resource Management (HRM) to the efficiency and productivity of organisations. The subject delivery will balance theoretical developments in HRM with practical and strategic considerations of the management of diverse people in the workplace and its surrounding environment.
The subject is taught fully online. Students will study off-campus and interact with the teaching team and other students via the Internet through the Griffith University learning and teaching environment called: Learning@Griffith. The subject convenor can be contacted by the Microsoft Teams and online Teams virtual classrooms through Learning@Griffith or via email. Students will have a number of assessment activities to complete across the study session.
