This third year subject offers students an experiential learning opportunity where they are expected to engage with the simulated learning environment. Students will take the role of a manager and have to make difficult decisions. The learning and teaching style of this subject is inherently different to most undergraduate experiences as it is focused on connecting theory to practice.
The aim of this degree is to help students learn what the world of management is like. Through problem based learning, students will explore what management is actually like and get a taste of the 'real' world. Activities are practical and based on real world problems with group work a key element. Students are exposed to management problems in order to help them put into context what they have learned in the management context. Students will be required to work in small groups and individually complete assessment tasks aligned with a case study and reflective assessment.
As this subject is a Level 3 subject, it is expected that students have a broad understanding of management and have successfully completed Level 1 and 2 subjects in a Management major.
