About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. Explain the importance of family businesses to world-wide economies with a particular focus on the Australasian economy.
    2. Evaluate the stages of evolution of a family business, the role entrepreneurship plays, and the players involved
    3. Analyse the operations and management system of a family business and apply the principles of a good governance system
    4. Evaluate the various options available when planning for succession and/or exit of the family from the business

    ASSURANCE OF LEARNING

    This course evaluates student performance for Assurance of Learning purposes for the Program Learning Objectives (PLO): Critically analyse local and global business issues to apply inclusive, socially responsible and sustainable practices.
