About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. explain the use of appropriate language when participating in a range of formal and informal situations
    2. exchange opinion and conduct discussion in Chinese on familiar current affairs and social topics
    3. extract factual information from audio and print sources and reproduce main points orally and in writing
    4. apply cultural knowledge and language skills to facilitate discussions on issues about Chinese society
