About this subject
Upon successful completion, students will have the knowledge and skills to:
- Use correctly all additional 850 vocabulary items introduced in the course textbook.
- Understand and produce phrase and sentence structures enabling them to converse and write extended passages on a wide range of topics with some vocabulary support.
- Communicate in a wide range of contexts including discussion of gender roles, politics, diplomacy, law and crime, and health.
- Utilize in communication a cultural understanding of Mongolian culture, economy, education, infrastructure, tackling of corruption and reform of legal system, and traditional versus modern medicine.
- 1. The Postpositions and it’s usage
- 2. The verb determining suffixes;
- 3. The classification of Coordinating suffixes: Simultaneous Associative, and Anterior suffixes
- 4. The classification of Subordinating suffixes: Conditional, Concessive, Immediately Succeeding, and Logically Succeeding
- 5. The classification of Subordinating suffixes: Intending, Limiting, Progressive, Succeeding, and Seizing an Opportunity
- 6. Person-bound Terminating Suffixes and it’s classification: Command, request, and decision, permission suffixes and their usages
- 7. Particles: interrogative particles, negative particles, modal particles, focus particles and their usages
- 8. Conjunctions : Classification of conjunctions and their usages (Coordinating conjunctions/Subordinating conjunctions/ /Proword-Conjunctions)
- 9. Verb aspects: Quick Action, Temporary Action, Completed Action
- 10. Verb aspects: Collective action, Repetitive action and Progressive Action
- 11. Verb voices: Active voice, and Causative voice with their usages
- 12. Verb voices: Passive voice and it’s usages
- 13. Verb voices: Communal voice and Adversative voice with their usages

- 15. An essay writing
This subject enables students to reach an upper intermediate level of Mongolian. It consolidates and builds on the skills learned in Mongolian 1, 2 and 3. It focuses on active oral and writing skills and on reading comprehension.
Via face-to-face video at a set time prescribed by the University. Please be aware of potential time zone differences.

Students with prior knowledge of the language will be required to take a placement test. Students are not permitted to enrol in a subject that is lower than the level they achieve in the placement test, or a lower level than a subject they have already completed. Students without the appropriate level of proficiency for MNGL2003 will be withdrawn from this subject and we will recommend an alternative subject at the correct level.

- This is in the range of 10 to 12 hours of study each week.

Each of your subjects will be held over the course of a study term, and they’ll usually require 10 to 12 hours of study each week. Subjects are identified by a title and a code, for example, Developmental Psychology, PSY20007.

If that degree allows entry via undergraduate subjects, there will be information about this under the Entry Requirements section. You will find a list of 2-4 open enrolment subjects you need to successfully complete to qualify for admission into that qualification.
Once you pass those subjects, you will satisfy the academic requirements for the degree, and you can apply for entry.
