Subject details
Upon successful completion, students will have the knowledge and skills to:
- Use correctly all additional 680 vocabulary items introduced in the course textbook.
- Recognize and produce complex phrase and sentence structures enabling them to converse and write passages on a range of non-technical topics, and to read relatively long Mongolian text.
- Communicate in variety of contexts including discussion of employment, culture, education, human rights and religion.
- Use in communication regarding ethnic diversity, national unity, migration, mining, informal employment, foreign relationship, learning styles and religious beliefs.

- Types of Adjectives and building adjectives
- Comparative degrees and asking and telling colours with longer sentence structure
- Modification of Adjectives - Adjective suffixes and spelling rule
- Numerals, Questions of Numerals

- Composing Compound sentences, Reading and writing a letter

Students with prior knowledge of the language will be required to take a placement test. Students are not permitted to enrol in a subject that is lower than the level they achieve in the placement test, or a lower level than a subject they have already completed. Students without the appropriate level of proficiency for MNGL2002 will be withdrawn from this subject and we will recommend an alternative subject at the correct level.

This is a fast paced academic course at a University level.
This subject enables students to reach an intermediate level of Mongolian. It consolidates and builds on the skills learned in the two first year Mongolian courses. It focuses on active oral and writing skills and reading comprehension.
