The Graduate Certificate in Marketing is a 6 month full-time or part-time equivalent course offered by the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics. The course is full fee-paying, which means that you will be charged at the full fee-paying rate listed for each subject.
This course provides an introduction to Marketing principles for students who are new to the discipline, or who only have limited experience in Marketing. Successful completion of this course will give students a solid foundation in Marketing fundamentals, and can be built on through further studies to achieve the level of competency required to become a Marketing professional.
Recommended Study Pattern
For students undertaking full-time study the following study pattern is recommended. If students are undertaking part-time study, we recommend that students complete all first year compulsory subjects prior to completing elective subjects to maximise success.
Year 1. 4 subjects in first year including:

- TAS-BMA506 Foundations of Marketing
- TAS-BMA604 Consumer Decision-Making
- TAS-BMA606 Services Marketing
- TAS-BMA610 Digital and Social Media Marketing
Award Requirements
Satisfactory completion of 4 subjects within 0.5-2 years, as required in the schedule to be eligible for this award.
Exit Points
Students will be permitted to exit the course and graduate with the Graduate Certificate in Marketing exit award where the requirements of the exit award have been met.
