BUSM3249 People and Organisations 

This course examines human behaviour in organisational settings, focusing on individual and team dynamics, communication, motivation, and conflict. You'll apply research and theory to real-world organisational issues, helping improve HR practices and overall performance. 

BUSM4504 Professional Human Resource Management Practices 

This course covers HRM practices from both employee and employer perspectives, emphasising the skills and behaviours of effective HR practitioners. Through experiential learning, you'll develop key HRM competencies and enhance your ability to operate independently in dynamic work environments. 

BUSM4497 Global Human Resource Management 

This course examines HR practices in a global context, focusing on challenges such as cross-cultural HRM, international strategic HRM, and managing diversity. It includes perspectives on HR policies in the Asia Pacific and other regions. 

BUSM4500 Issues in Diversity 

This course explores managing diverse workforces, focusing on how diversity enhances organisational performance and culture. It covers strategies, policies, and the social factors that influence diversity in the workplace.

Academic Requirements

An Australian Bachelor degree (or equivalent), or higher level qualification in Business or a related field from a recognised tertiary institution.

Alternate entry

No prior academic qualifications with a minimum of five years' full-time equivalent (FTE) work experience in Business or a related field. Applicants will be required to submit a curriculum vitae (CV).

You must meet the University’s minimum English language requirements to be eligible for a place in this program.

Australian Student Visas:

• RMIT Online’s Graduate Certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion does not meet Australian student visa requirements. For an Australian student visa, you must have an on-campus place in a program of study.

RMIT assesses each student’s prior learning and qualifications to grant credit so you can complete your online postgraduate degree sooner. Your application will be decided on a case-by-case basis. RMIT aims to grant as much credit as possible at the time of offer, so it’s important to provide as much evidence of prior study and work experience as possible with your application.
