In this course, you’ll expand on the core concepts of research methodology and analysis covered in Research Methods for Public Health (HTLH 1058). The study of epidemiology is important in informing public health actions and strategies.
Epidemiologists work in all areas of public health practice, but are most well recognised in their role in health monitoring and surveillance. Throughout this course you'll gain skills in descriptive and analytical epidemiology, data management, analysis, and statistical procedures.
You'll complete various practical activities using real datasets to guide you through the process of epidemiological investigation. These skills will expand your growing body of professional knowledge regarding the public health research and evidence cycle.
