About this subject

  • By the end of this 10-week course, you’ll be able to: 

    1. Describe the role of the musculoskeletal system, including neurological and non-muscular components, and the effect of internal and external forces applied to these structures throughout movement. 
    2. Explain the theories and principles associated with the control of movement. 
    3. Explain the role of the reflexes, vision and kinaesthesis in the learning and control of motor skills. 
    4. Classify physical activities and explain limitations of motor performance and physical work capacity.
