By the end of this 10-week course, you’ll be able to:

- Identify how behaviour is linked to survival and evolution and the interconnection between genes, environment and behaviour.

- Examine the ethical issues related to research and applications of learning theory to humans and other species.

Study aspects of biological sciences including the human brain, behaviour and evolution and learn how these underpin the field of psychology. Principles of learning theory is a fascinating concept and can be applied to improve animal welfare and enhance psychological wellbeing.
Throughout this course, you’ll learn about the human, chimpanzee and gorilla genome projects, as well as advances in cognitive research with Great Apes and other non-human animals. You’ll also look at the ethical and legal challenges for researchers and humans in general.
