About this subject

  • On successful completion of this subject , you will be able to:

    1. Demonstrate an understanding of the major themes and changes in Australian history from pre-European contact to 1901
    2. Demonstrate an ability to research a topic in Australian colonial history, including the evaluation of a wide range of primary and secondary sources
    3. Interpret historiography to contextualise and analyse problems
    4. Communicate historical arguments coherently and persuasively in written, oral and interpersonal forms
