About this subject

  • On successful completion of this subject, you will be able to:

    1. Understand the link between quantitative research design, survey procedure and statistical analysis.
    2. Understand quantitative social science research critically.
    3. Analyse survey data using appropriate statistical models.
    4. Carry out a statistical analysis using R.
    5. Interpret statistical outputs in plain language.
    6. Conduct original research using quantitative research methods.

  • Other requirements - Students who have an Academic Standing of Suspension or Exclusion under Macquarie University's Academic Progression Policy are not permitted to enrol in OUA units offered by Macquarie University. Students with an Academic Standing of Suspension or Exclusion who have enrolled in units through OUA will be withdrawn.
