About this subject

  • On successful completion you will be able to:

    1. Demonstrate an understanding of a range of ideas related to language, society and culture presented within the subject
    2. Apply tools and concepts from intercultural communication, sociolinguistics and linguistic anthropology to novel situations
    3. Critically reflect on your own and others’ societies cultures and how they influence interactions
    4. Research and examine an intercultural or sociolinguistic issue in depth and present your findings in writing
