About this subject

    1. Contextualise cultural and economic practices of food production and consumption at a local and global level
    2. Develop an understanding of the role of land use planning in food and water security
    3. Investigate the capacity of local food production in a selected case study area
    4. Understand relationships between food production and consumption in Australia and how food security can be further strengthened

Prerequisites: Completion of 120cps of subjects at first year level.
Past La Trobe University students who have previously completed the following subjects are ineligible to enrol in this subject:
- PLA4CFD Climate Futures: Planning for Risk and Uncertainty, PLA3CFD Climate Futures: Planning for Risk and Uncertainty or PLA3FWE Securing Food, Water and the Environment
