At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

  2. Identify problems or sources of poor quality and performance.
  3. Understand how quality provides a platform for organisational innovation, through the management and mobilisation of existing internal and external sources of knowledge and the application of both synthesis and analysis
  4. Understand the strategies and processes used to address quality issues in all forms of organisations from service to production, through application of individual and group participation
  5. Understand the link between Quality and sustainability

The aim of the degree is to directly address the major philosophies behind the design and development of a Quality Innovation and Improvement Program. This includes Quality Management philosophies, Business Excellence Models, analytical tools, teams and Quality Improvement Program. The link between Quality and organisational sustainability is discussed.As quality assurance and business process reengineering ( BPR) are covered in other management degrees this degree covers the Deming and Soft system management approach to quality which is innovation and improvement via group interventions and problem solving
