About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. explain and reflect on the roles and responsibilities of editors, and the relationships between editors, writers and publishers
    2. learn and practice the language skills needed to undertake author communication, manuscript appraisal, proofreading and copyediting tasks
    3. apply accepted page and screen based editing practices, editing symbols, and publishing industry terminology to proofreading and copyediting tasks.
