About this subject

  • At the completion of this subject students will be able to:

    1. explain the relation between context, texts and the construction of meaning
    2. identify, explain and apply key concepts in narrative theory and cultural studies to the study of specific texts
    3. employ critical perspectives to understand narrative and cultural representations
    4. present effectively reasoned analysis of narrative fiction and nonfiction texts across a range of media
