About this subject
At the completion of this subject students will be able to:
- demonstrate a clear articulation of ideas using appropriate media and processes
- apply evaluation skills in the analysis of research and outcomes
- analyse personal limitations of knowledge, skills or abilities in order to make self directed learning decisions
- extend the boundaries of research through application of the language of the discipline.
- A week-by-week guide to the topics you will explore in this subject will be provided in your study materials.
This subject was previously known as Art Visual Research.
You will develop self-directed visual art projects to progress skills in the techniques and processes of contemporary drawing practice. You will expand your research on contemporary art through critical analysis and other methodologies.

Single subject FAQs
Single subjects are the individual components that make up a degree. With Open Universities Australia, you’re able to study many of them as stand-alone subjects, including postgraduate single subjects, without having to commit to a degree.

Once you pass those subjects, you will satisfy the academic requirements for the degree, and you can apply for entry.
