Looking for a pathway to a Bachelor degree in business, information technology or tourism?
The one-year Diploma of Business gives you the opportunity to develop academic and business skills in areas that could include business, finance, management, economics, marketing, tourism and information technology. In addition to core units, you may choose a specialisation in either business and enterprise, information technology or tourism.
Successful completion of the Diploma will guarantee you entry and up to eight units of credit towards a Southern Cross University Bachelor degree in business and enterprise or information technology.
The Diploma of Business award is offered through SCU College, where we understand that learners have diverse experiences and ways of learning. The College connects you to your peers and supports your study success through additional workshops to assist you develop academic and study skills.

To be eligible to receive the Diploma of Business, students must complete the equivalent of 8 units (96 credit points), comprising:
- 2 core units (24 credit points), and
- 6 units (72 credit points) from one of the following specialisations: Business and Enterprise, Information Technology, Tourism, and Business.

Entry requirements
ATAR: 45 or equivalent.
If you're a current Year 12 student you can register for our STAR Early Offer program and may be eligible to receive an early offer based on your School Principal's recommendation. STAR Early Offers must be undertaken in Session 1.
English language requirements apply to International applicants and other applicants whose previous study was undertaken in a language other than English. The minimum English language requirements for such applicants for entry to this course are as follows:

Applicants or students that can provide supporting documents to verify they already know, understand and can perform the learning outcomes for one or more units within a Southern Cross course, are eligible to have their prior learning assessed for credit by submitting an application for Advanced Standing.

Graduates of the Diploma of Business will be well-equipped to apply their skills in a variety entry level management positions such as office manager or accounts manager across a range of business areas including accounting, finance, marketing, information technology, and tourism.Â
Successful graduates of the Diploma of Business are guaranteed entry into, and up to eight units of credit towards the Bachelor of Business and Enterprise or Bachelor of Information Technology at Southern Cross University.
