Surveyors are in high demand within Australia. When you graduate, you will be equipped for a career as a professional surveyor in areas such as land development, mining and civil construction. You will be able to work in a variety of settings, including property and land development organisations, surveying companies, construction companies, government institutions, mining companies and private consultancy, among many others.

Professional recognition

The Surveying major is fully accredited by the Surveyors Board of Queensland and is recognised in every Australian state and in New Zealand through reciprocal arrangements. The degree, together with relevant industry experience, enables registration and/or licensing as a cadastral surveyor with the Boards of Surveyors in Australia and New Zealand.

When you graduate, you will be eligible to apply for membership with the Surveying and Spatial Science Institute Australia.
