About this degree
Upon completion of this program, graduates will have:
- Knowledge of the construction industry, the environment and social processes that inform and contribute to construction practice, to optimise decision-making and evaluation of construction practices and processes.
- Skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders and members of construction teams to facilitate project delivery.
- Demonstrated leadership potential as appropriate, to manage construction and construction related projects and/or processes.
- Skills to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in interdisciplinary and multi professional environments and teams to facilitate client-centred construction project outcomes.

Construction management graduates work in a range of leadership roles in the industry. This includes project management, contract management, quantity surveying, estimating, building surveying, building certification, facilities management, property development and WHS. They manage physical buildings and infrastructure projects either onsite or from an office.
Construction managers lead and coordinate design and construction processes. They liaise with clients and consultants, and select, hire and supervise various contractors. They’re also responsible for managing the legal and financial aspects of the project.
